Effect of substrate temperature on structural, optical and elec- trical properties of spray pyrolitically grown nanocrystalline SnO2 thin films

SnO2 nanocrystalline thinfilms were prepared by spray pyrolysis method on glass substrates at 375, 400, 425, 450 and 500oC. Structural, optical and electrical properties of these films were studied by XRD, UVVisible and Four-probe methods. The change in electrical conductivity, band gap and optical transmittance was found to be a function of the change in lattice parameters ∆a and ∆c. The samples prepared at 425oC are found to have good figure of merit and maximum transmittance (96% at 550 nm).
